Microlinks Extensions are installed using regular wefted bundle hair extensions. The microlinks extension technique does not involve glue. The microlink is a bead very small bead that is undetectable. It simply clamps onto you hair and the extension. The Microlink bead is lined with a silicone lining that provides a safe cushion between your hair and the bead and prevents slippage. With the Microlinks all your hair is left out and is blending in with the hair extensions (ie. Like if you were to wear clip ins) So it gives you access to your natural hair. Giving you the ability to do masks, deep conditioning treatments to keep your hair healthy while still wearing your extensions. The Microlink technique allows you to color, relax and wash you hair while its in. You basically treat it as your own hair. You can also put your hair in a high ponytail without detecting hair extensions. This technique is great for those who don’t want to have their hair braided up. This is a braidless technique. The microlinks are for all hair types. I recommend that clients purchase hair that is very close to their hair texture to make the extensions more believable and easy to blend. Side Note: Clients with fine or super soft hair tend to have more slippage than so double beading is recommended to make sure clients doesn’t have to come back to often for maintenance appointments. Maintenance: Clients should be touched up every 4 to 6 weeks. And this technique should be removed at the salon
